Special Event Tickets

Each year, the WSYC hosts the Mad Hatter’s Party to benefit the chorus.  Tickets for the event are usually available in February each year and may also be purchased through the WSYC office, from a chorus member, or at the door.  However, we request that guests let us know in advance of their attendance if possible for catering purposes.

Other ticketed special events that may occur throughout the year will be announced here and on the news section of our website.

Book an Ensemble

Book the Winston-Salem Youth Chorus for your next event and showcase the talent and musical excellence of our city’s young people!  From children to teens, we have four polished and professional choral groups to add charm and musical delight to any special event.  The WSYC is available for many types of appearances, including:

The WSYC has shared their music talents across the country and the world, including Carnegie Hall, the International Music Festival in Salzburg, Vienna, the Piccolo Spoleto Festival in Charleston, SC, the Magnolia Baroque Festival in Winston-Salem, NC, the Shenandoah University Youth Choral Festival in Winchester, VA, dozens of performances with Piedmont Opera, the Winston-Salem Symphony, and the Piedmont Chamber Singers, , and a ten-day collaborative concert tour of Italy with the Pueri Cantores and the Garabaldi Theatre Chorus, which included performances in St. Mark’s Basilica in Venice and Rome’s Waldensians Church.  The WSYC received a key to the city of Figline after performing there.

Programs and Repertoire

The WSYC can offer a variety of musical styles, periods, and cultures to suit almost any venue and event. A typical program can include classic Western-art choral works (spanning the Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, 20th-century, and other time periods) contemporary pieces composed especially for children's chorus, international and local folk music, jazz, gospel, Broadway, and popular music arrangements.  Performances range from 15 minutes to a full hour, depending on how many ensembles are booked.

The WSYC performs a cappella repertoire and pieces accompanied by piano or other instruments.

Booking fees vary depending on the specifics of the event, including the date and time of the event, length of performance, and ticket prices.
